The Challenge

Bokaro Power Supply Corporation Limited (BPSCL) is undertaking an ERP modernization initiative to support its enterprise operations through a more structured and integrated digital environment.

As part of this initiative, there was a need for a secure, reliable and scalable infrastructure capable of supporting the ERP application while reducing the operational effort associated with managing the underlying IT environment.

The solution also needed to provide an appropriate level of security for the ERP environment while ensuring that the infrastructure could support the organization’s evolving requirements.

The CLUDO Approach

CLUDO is working with BPSCL to deploy and support its ERP environment on AWS, using managed AWS services to create a more efficient and secure infrastructure foundation.

The approach focuses on using AWS cloud infrastructure and managed database capabilities rather than relying entirely on traditional infrastructure management.

As the ERP implementation is currently in progress, CLUDO is continuing to work toward establishing an environment that supports BPSCL’s operational and technology requirements.

The Solution

The AWS environment is being built using a combination of compute, managed database and security services:

Amazon EC2
Provides the cloud-based compute infrastructure required to host the ERP environment.

Amazon RDS for MariaDB
Provides a managed database environment, reducing the infrastructure administration effort associated with database management.

AWS WAF
Provides an additional security layer for protecting the web-facing ERP environment.

Together, these services provide the foundation for a secure and scalable ERP environment on AWS.
